A good skincare recommendation starts with questions.

Not just, “What's your skin type?”

What are you using right now?
What concerns you most about your skin?
When did you first notice something changing?
What makes it feel better or worse?
What have you already tried?

These are the kinds of questions Kelly asks in the treatment room, because two people can describe the same skin concern and need very different product recommendations and/or treatment approaches.

Tightness, breakouts, dryness, or sensitivity don't automatically mean you need another product.

Sometimes it's what you're using. Sometimes it's how you're using it. And sometimes it's understanding what changed before deciding what comes next.

That's where professional experience makes a difference.

A thoughtful recommendation isn't just about knowing which product to suggest. It's about knowing what to ask first.

We're curious. Before any skincare haul, do you ask yourself these questions, or has any salesperson asked them?

‘My skin is sensitive’ tells us how it feels. It doesn’t tell us what it needs.

If your face stings after cleansing or reacts to products you used to love, it’s tempting to hunt for one magic ingredient.

Kelly looks at the whole routine first. How often are you exfoliating? What are you layering? When did the irritation begin? Has anything internally shifted for you in the last 30-90 days?

Pass this along.

Her friend swore by it. Her skin hated it.

Nicole bought the product because someone she trusted loved it. Same age. Similar skin concerns. Glowing recommendation.

But Nicole was already using two exfoliating products, and her cheeks had started feeling tight. Adding one more active wasn't the fresh start she hoped for.

Two people can love the same product and have very different experiences. What else is already happening in the routine matters.

Send this to the friend you swap skincare recommendations with.

Nicole is a fictional name based on recurring patterns observed in real client experiences.

Before you buy another skincare product, run this check.

1. Has anything changed in your life in last month? I.E, less sleep, more work stress, travel, etc.
2. Did you add an active, exfoliant, or treatment?
3. Has your skin started stinging, tightening, or reacting?
4. Are you trying to fix several skin concerns at once?
5. Do you know what each product in your routine addresses as it relates to your skin?

Sometimes the next skincare step isn't a purchase. It's understanding what your skin is responding to.

Save this checklist before your next skincare haul.

New job. New house. New skin?

Sometimes your skin changes right alongside your life. A move, a new schedule, a few weeks of less sleep, or a routine that no longer feels like yours.

The temptation is to buy something else for your skincare routine. We usually start simpler: what changed before your skin did?

Your skin deserves a little curiosity before another product.

Send this to a friend who's been wondering why her skincare routine suddenly isn't working the way it used to.

Your skincare calendar says retinol night, but your skin is saying something else.

Erin did everything right. She found an influencer routine she really liked, followed it exactly, and for a few weeks her skin looked brighter, more hydrated, and smoother.

Then work got busier and more stressful. She wasn't sleeping. She was traveling more. She added one new active to combat acne that appeared out of nowhere.

Her routine stayed the same, but her life shifted.

Tightness. Dehydration, Stinging. Bumps she'd never had before. Her instinct was to push through.

At Results by Nature ®, we ask clients different questions before recommending products.

What Changed in your life?

A schedule can organize your products. It can't read your skin.

If your skin has changed and you don't know why, comment DRIVER and we'll send you our free guide, Why My Skin Changed. You can also get our free guide in the link in our Bio!

“I’ve always had sensitive skin.”

How many times have you said that, or heard someone else say it?

Maybe you’ve spent years buying products labeled for sensitive skin. Avoiding ingredients. Keeping your routine simple. Being careful about everything you put on your face.

And yet, some days your skin tolerates everything. Other days, even your most familiar products seem to bother it.

So what changed?

That’s a question worth asking before deciding your skin is simply difficult, sensitive, or something you have to live with.

After more than 20 years working with clients, Kelly has seen how differently skin can behave depending on what else is happening. Hormonal fluctuations, changes in barrier function, environmental exposure, treatments, and even the accumulation of steps within a routine can all influence how skin responds.

And I’ve experienced how frustrating it is when your own skin no longer behaves the way you expect.

That’s part of the conversation we were having recently on our podcast.

Sensitive skin describes what you’re experiencing. It doesn’t always explain why it’s happening.

And understanding that difference can change how you approach your skincare.

Have you always considered your skin sensitive, or did that change somewhere along the way?

You know that feeling after a wonderful treatment, when you wish you could take a little of the experience home?

The care. The attention. The sense that every step was considered.

That's something we appreciate about the experience Katie creates at Earth Body Massage.

She chose to incorporate our Quench Restorative Antioxidant Facial Elixir as a finishing step in her work.

We created the formulation. She decided how it could best serve the experience she creates for her clients.

To us, that's a meaningful professional partnership: respecting the practitioner's expertise rather than asking her to repeat our marketing.

Thank you, Katie, for sharing your experience with us.

Is there a wellness or aesthetic professional whose care has made a lasting impression on you? Send this her way.

You want that healthy, hydrated look.

Not the kind where your foundation slides around by lunchtime.

Not a heavy layer you can feel sitting on your face.

And definitely not another product that makes you second-guess your skin.

It's understandable why so many women hesitate when they hear the words "facial oil."

But here's what matters.

Not ALL facial oils are created equal.

The lipid architecture, their composition, how they're formulated, and how the product fits into your routine all influence the experience.

That's why we spend so much time thinking about the full formulation, not just its hero ingredients.

Because the goal isn't to convince every woman she needs a facial oil.

It's to help her understand what she's choosing and why.

**Tell us: when you hear "facial oil," what's your first thought? Glow, grease, breakouts, or something else?**

I use all of Results by Nature's products. Recently I have been sick and my nose and lips became very dry and cracked from being dehydrated ......I used Quench for 3 days on my lips and nose and they are no longer peeling and my lips are so so soft. It's like heaven in a bottle.

I started using RbyNLash eyelash & brow enhancing system for the first time about 4 weeks ago. I noticed longer lashes in about 2 1/2 weeks and they keep getting thicker and longer as I near the end of my first container. Still waiting on results on my brows but I am told those take longer. Definately sold on product efficacy.

I've tried it all! Ridiculously expensive skin care, organic moisturizers, Image, Shisedo, Kiehl's, Korean brands, etc. Nothing has impressed me more than Kelly's Results by Nature. Absolutely addicted to Regenerate and Quench. Thank you!

I was given a trial sample of Quench, Regenerate and Repair. I love putting the Repair in my hair to add shine and protection. The Quench and Regenerate oils are lovely and make my skin so soft. Also the owners are super sweet and truly care what goes into their products!

I have been using the hair oil for 2 months now and I have seen and felt an incredible difference . I have very thin and frizzy hair that's usually in a messy bun or I flat iron. Repair Oil has absolutely repaired my hair. I use it daily (just 4 drops to wet hair) as well as 1 or 2 times a month as a leave in night treatment. It's liquid gold!
